It's okay,
I can make it alright, do you know?
I can smile and laugh, and it goes away.

I can look at you, and it's alright again,
I can think of our memories, and it passes by
I can choose to look up, to move on, to live for life

and you can say 'hello' and the world is better again.
When I look into your eyes,
Suddenly I realise,
That life just isn’t worth living without you,

I thought I had a future,
My whole life mapped out and planned,
And then you came along,
With your smile and your song,
And my heart seemed to sing

and I reached out for your hand

No words

man and daughter sit in silence,
she wrings her hands as his eyes drift slowly,
almost meditating on the text within the paper.

The gentle whirring of the computer hums monotonously and she watches him,
reading the words, his eyebrows knitted as he figures out what it means.
with only a few mumbles of 'oh' and 'good one' to guide her,
she racks her memory, trying to recall the words she had read from the paper.

                              empty hope.

Lighthouse over troubled waters

It's going to be okay.

When the rain starts pouring, and you can't see for fear
I  want you to know, it's okay, I'll be here.

When things get messy and an answer can't be found
I think you should know, it's alright, I'm around

When you're sad or confused or lost in dispair
I urge you to know, I'm here and I care

When you've lost where you're going, and can't find your way,
I  need you to know, I'm your friend, here to stay

When the going gets tough, and you think there's no hope,
When you're not sure where to go, and you don't know how to cope,
When you can't find the words, but you just need to talk,
When you try to run away, but you can't even walk,
When you can't see the light, and you're tired of fighting,
let me put into words, my plea, in my writing.

Stay strong, be brave, look up and you'll see,
Your troubles and toils will at last set you free,
And you'll fly like a bird, away from the nest,
With your troubles and toils, at last laid to rest.

It's going to be okay.

Angel in the night

The snow and the ice, a mask to the danger,
A growing fear, but not for the stranger,
A perfect mystery, in a tainted landscape,
A healer to the broken, within a unexplained mistake

Appearing from the darkness, bringing comfort to the damaged,
A humbling experience and then the heavenly man emerged,
Innocent to the surroundings, he speaks the words of truth,
She cried out to the Lord and he sent a spiritual child to soothe,

Dragged mercilessly and it seemed like slow motion,
A terrifying memory, entwined with deep emotion,
A hound with swirls of white hair,
This miracle from a desperate prayer

The car untouched, appearing from the shadows,
Driven effortlessly on the ice,
This history, a mystery, and next time she'll think twice!

This is a blessing, an early Christmas gift,
From a desperate cry, to a heavenly guy,
Redeemed by grace, a real life uplift!

God gave you life this night beautiful sister,
We love you so, and hope your legs get better,
So precious to us, we're so glad your safe,
I am so relieved and inspired by your faith!

Happy Christmas Beautiful Hannah xxx

A lesson in Grace

There used to be a rich old King,
Who told the officials to come in,
And give him the money they owed him,
Then one by one, their cash they would bring.

A man came forth who could not pay,
And through his shame he had to say,
"I have no money, there's just no way,
can you spare me another day?"

And so that man was let off the hook,
And all his debt was erased from the book,
He left the building with a grateful look .

He went into a meeting place,
A debter of his, knelt and looked at his face,
he pleaded to him and asked him for grace,
And told him I need a few more days.

But the man that was kindly let off his debt,
was very mean and seemed to suddenly forget,
and told the man he would make him a threat,
and if he didn't pay, it would be something he'd regret.

New song in my heart ♥

Father be my song,
Forgive me all I've done,
Put the new words on my lips,
And at the fountain of your wisdom I will sip.

Can you hold me in your arms,
And whisper in my ear your precious psalms,
Heal me of all my sorrow,
And make me clean for tomorrow.

And I will make my life your praise,
To worship you with all my days,
Every person that I meet,
I will honour you with hands and feet.

Ive been humbled to believe,
My heart is open to recieve,
Take my mess and make it new,
And all my life will speak of you.

All my days I'll seek your face
Finding refuge in your holy place,
To be welcomed and accepted
Where you were broken and rejected.
Amen.
